Tealle Hunkus, a standout athlete, accumulated a 4-year streak of letter wins in volleyball. Her prowess is etched in the record books, as she claims the top four records for most kills in a match, the top two records for kills in a season, and boasts both the highest serve/receive percentage in both a season and her career. Notably, she holds the all-time record for most kills in a career. Her accomplishments didn't go unnoticed. Tealle secured spots on the 1st Team Trumbull Athletic Conference for three years, earned recognition on the 1st Team All-District, and was honored as Player of the Year for three consecutive years. Demonstrating her exceptional abilities, she earned the prestigious title of 1st Team All-State in both 2001 and 2002. Tealle's leadership guided her team to impressive victories, including District Championships in 2001 and 2002, as well as Regional Championships and State Semi-Finals in 2002. Her remarkable career includes setting state records, amassing 1169 kills in her career and 470 kills in a single season. Her accomplishments extended into college where she received a full athletic scholarship to Duke University. Over her 4-year tenure at Duke, she secured her place on the AVCA All-East Region Team and earned AVCA Honorable Mention All-American status in 2006. In 2007, she embarked on her journey as a Professional Beach Volleyball player. In the 2013 Association of Volleyball Professionals Season, she achieved a notable 5th rank alongside her partner, Christal Engle. Currently residing in El Segundo, California, Tealle has ventured into the logistics industry, demonstrating her adaptability and ambition outside of sports.
