The Girard Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of outstanding athletes and coaches from Girard High School and aims to preserve the rich history of athletics in our community.
Our story
The Girard Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the outstanding achievements of our school's athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made significant contributions to our athletic programs. Through the induction of individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their sport, we celebrate the rich history and tradition of Girard High School athletics.
The Girard Hall of Fame was established in 1996 to recognize and honor the athletic achievements of Girard residents. The committee was formed after years of contemplation, and the first official meeting was held in 1997. Since then, the committee has inducted 146 deserving individuals and aims to preserve the rich history of Girard athletics. While the task of verifying facts and accomplishments can be daunting, the trustees strive to make decisions based on accurate information. The organization invites everyone to become an active member and celebrate the talents of past, present, and future athletes.

To be inducted into the Girard Hall of Fame, individuals must have demonstrated outstanding athletic achievement during their time at Girard High School or beyond, as well as exhibited high standards of character and sportsmanship. The Hall of Fame Committee considers a variety of factors, including individual achievements, team success, and contributions to the Girard community.

Student athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom are the backbone of Girard High School's athletic program. To further support our student athletes, the Girard Hall of Fame is proud to offer a scholarship to a graduating senior who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to both academics and athletics.
