Randy Mason was bestowed with the label of "athletically inclined," a characterization presented by the Tribune Chronicle when he earned the distinction of Senior Athlete of the Year in 2002. A versatile three-sport competitor, he showcased exceptional prowess in football, basketball, and baseball. His high school journey saw him amass three varsity letters in football, three in basketball, one in baseball, and one in track. Within football, his achievements were numerous. He garnered positions on the 1st Team All-Trumbull Athletic Conference (TAC), 1st Team All-Northeast Ohio Inland, and 2nd Team All-State in 2001. In basketball, his prowess was equally acknowledged, securing spots on the 1st Team All-TAC, 1st Team All-Mahoning Valley Division 3, 1st Team All-County Division 3, and 3rd Team All-Northeast Ohio Inland in 2002. On the baseball diamond, he earned the honor of 1st Team All-TAC in 2002. Upon high school graduation, Randy pursued higher education at Mount Union College, propelled by an academic Presidential Scholarship. During his time there, he became an integral part of The Mount Union College Division 3 National Championship teams in both 2002 and 2005. Beyond his athletic pursuits, Randy established a distinguished career as an officer in the Arlington County Police Department. Furthermore, he contributes to the sports world as a football coach at Washington Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia.
