Many may recognize him as the 'Voice of the Indians,' but for those who share a deeper connection, he embodies a lifelong commitment to our children, schools, and the entire Girard community. With unwavering dedication, he has championed our cause for most of his life, displaying an unmatched level of involvement and leadership. Over the span of 35 years, he has been a steadfast volunteer coach in our youth baseball and basketball programs. His commitment was further exemplified during his tenure as the president of the Girard Baseball Association for a decade and the founder of the Girard Athletic Association 21 years ago. Consistently engaged in our school's "Read Across America" initiative, he has contributed to nurturing young minds. For the past two decades, he has donned the jolly red suit to become Santa Claus for our kids, bringing smiles and joy. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role as the founder and enduring face of the Girard Hall of Fame, guiding its journey as its president for the last 20 years. His civic leadership spans 25 years, during which he has served as a city councilman, City Treasurer, and Board of Education president, leaving an indelible mark on the development of our city. With a heart full of love, he cherishes his family, sports, and above all, the community of Girard. His memorable advice to all echoes, "If you can't play a sport, be one."
