ABOUT
Outstanding performer and leader of the Girard High football teams of the late 1920's. Although challenged by his diminutive stature, he contributed in three sports and quarterbacked the Indians to successful seasons from 1927-29. He directed an offense that was regarded as the best in the area by local sportswriters. He was honored by The Niles Times and Warren Tribune with selection to the AlI-County First Team in 1927. He was considered by many as the best broken field runner and the most consistent ground gainer and scorer in Trumbull County at that time. He attended the University of Notre Dame in 1929.
