A lifelong resident of Girard, our Community Service Award winner truly exemplifies this honor. His 3 year teaching career included important positions in the field of social studies. They include Key Club Advisor for21 years, Civics Day Advisor for 33 years. His contributions to school athletic programs include serving as an assistant football coach for 25 years, including 3 years as head coach, 5 years as athletic director during which Girard made its first appearance in the state football playoffs and won the boys State Championship Boys basketball. He has served as President of the Athletic Boosters during his 26 year membership and currently serves as treasurer of both the Girard Alumni Association and the Girard Hall of Fame.
