ABOUT

Known as a fiery competitor as a player and coach. A three year letter winner in both football and basketball from 1946-48. He captained the GHS basketball team and the 1947 football team. He coached the GHS golf team for 10 seasons and won the Mahoning Valley Conference Title in 1973 and his team qualified through Sectional play and earned a trip to the regional tournament in Barberton. He coached football in Girard for 20 years at various levels. He was head varsity football coach for nine seasons from 1970-78. His 1976 team earned a share of the MahoningValley Conference title with their 7-3 record.
