Was a three-sport star at GHS. Regarded as the top defender in the area as a GHS gridder. Earned All-Steel Valley honors and Most Valuable Player honors by the GHS Athletic Boosters in 1955. Won three football letters at the University of Dayton while starring offensively and defensively. Sought by several pro teams including Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Chicago before signing with the Buffalo Bills of the AFL in 1959. Presently serving as Ohio State Senator -32nd District.
